Kate Surinskaya, graduated high school at 15 and got a masters in Economics soon after. However, working a 9 to 5 just wasn’t for her. With a love for the arts and an ambitious, can-do attitude, she took a risk and went into acting.
Through hard work and determination, Kate won a scholarship to study at the New York City Herbert Berghof Studio. She performed at a few showcases in "Proof", "The Seagull", "How I learned to Drive", and starred in the award-winning short "The Jim Crow Holocaust" (Best Cast Angel Awards; Best Ensemble Cast Monaco International Film Festival). Using the skills she learned on set, she was able to produce, direct and star in her own music video and commercials.
Soon after, Kate took on another risk and her fearless nature brought her to LA where she could further expand her true passion for storytelling through acting, writing and directing. And how do all actresses get their start in LA? By waiting tables!:) Her look and exotic accent leave customers questioning where she comes from.
And what does she do on her time off? Teaches piano, models, sings, and takes on the most difficult hikes, always looking for the next best source of inspiration…
