I rarely post about my writing wins but here’s one of them. A short script that I hope one day will turn into a feature. 𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒂𝒔𝒕 𝑺𝒑𝒊𝒏 is about a resilient young dancer in Las Vegas who strives to save her sick father while forging unexpected friendships with casino regulars, ultimately propelling her toward a life-changing decision.

DOPPELGANGER AT LA SHORTS!
This was my first Oscar-qualified festival! It was great to share my film with a very supportive crowd and connect with friends and filmmakers. It still blows my mind that all of this happened because of an idea. The only difference is that I took action!

I've directed a PLAY!
As a director unit member at the Actors Studio, I had a pleasure in directing a 30 min scene from a play “Appropriate” by Branden Jacobs-Jenkins (which btw premiered on Broadway last year.) It was a challenge to direct 7 (!) actors and not to lose humor in a very heavy play. But I welcomed that challenge as I’ve learnt so much from the process and collaboration with such talented actors.

𝑷𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒍𝒔 which I wrote, produced, directed and acted in, is released on a prestigious YouTube channel 𝐎𝐦𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐭𝐨. What a ride it has been! From writing a very personal story, to crowdfunding, to shooting it in Russia in my hometown, then the festivals in the US and worldwide, and finally… being selected to @omeleto It feels good to being able to express myself in a way that I’ve dreamed of since I was 15. When everything felt heavy and there was no hope. When every day seemed like a battle. When my heart was broken. Art heals wounds as they say, and I echo that.
